Andrew MacKinlay, with almost two decades of experience in executive recruitment, has played a crucial role in supporting the growth of foreign insurance companies in Japan and Asia. He has effectively managed recruitment teams and successfully built and strengthened teams in various sectors such as life insurance, P&C insurance, reinsurance, brokerages, and actuarial consulting firms. Andrew's exceptional track record in the insurance industry includes providing headhunting services tailored to clients' needs and has resulted in successful placements at all levels. Some recent notable placements include CEO, CFO, CMO, Managing Directors, Senior Advisors, General Managers, specialized underwriting positions and specialized actuarial roles (FIAJ).
After graduating from the University of Manchester with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Andrew worked for several years as an IT project manager in London.
He lives in Tokyo with his lovely wife and three wonderful children. Although born and raised in the UK, he also now speaks fluent Japanese.
Career
In 1999, Andrew traveled to China, Tibet, Nepal, India and many other Asian countries before eventually settling in Japan. His hobbies include golf, playing guitar as well as enjoying darts with his son & karaoke with his daughters.
